David Birch is a San Diego native, who attended SDSU and received his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with an emphasis in social science. He founded BIRCH Insurance Solutions in 2004. He has been involved in the sale, wholesale and marketing process of various insurance products with specific emphasis on LTC Insurance since 1998. This experience has enabled him to look at the various facets of the insurance business, which ultimately led him to go into business for himself. In 2003, he became certified as a Long Term Care Insurance Specialist (CLTC) through the Corporation for Long Term Care. His dedication to be a specialist in this industry has been favorably recognized by CPA’s, Certified Financial Planners and Brokers (both Independent and Captive). These professionals have referred their clients to him for their LTC Insurance needs.

David has a long family history in the insurance business, with his father's start in the industry in 1973, followed by his mother entering in 1976. Ingrained into his business philosophy are strong ethics, honesty and placing his clients’ needs first. His business philosophy is to offer a wide variety of products that relate to his field of specialty while educating his clients on current products available. David gives his clients options, while listening to their specific needs — ultimately guiding them to a proper plan design that works.
